Athens has developed a vibrant and classy side as the city has become more cosmopolitan. Whether it’s a series of gorgeous rooftop hotel bars all over the city, rock bars near downtown, dance clubs by the sea or trendy pubs in northern suburbs, there’s legitimate, quality adventure to be had.
Athens is recognised as a global city because of its geo-strategic location and its importance in shipping, finance, commerce, media, entertainment, arts, international trade, culture, education and tourism. It is one of the biggest economic centres in southeastern Europe, with a large financial sector, and its port Piraeus is the largest passenger port in Europe
Nice and elegant apartment in a quiet neibourhood on the foothills of Akropolis (just 10′ min. walk). Brand new construction. Excellent cooking facilities. Confortable mattress and sofa in the lounge (the apt. easily accomodates a family 2+2). The host Yiannis is very eager to help in check-in/check-out and to provide all necessary information and services. Nice take-away food in Deliolanis (100 m. away in Sygrou av.) and lots of tavernas and attractions nearby. Great value for money!
Highly recommended! My boyfriend and I really enjoyed living in this lovely apartment for 7 nights. Our charming host John (Ioannis) is very responsive and easy to deal with. A warm welcome awaited us inc. a bottle of delicious red wine which was much appreciated! As advertised it is in “pristine” condition and newly renovated. Modern spacious kitchen appointed with new high-end appliances and all necessary household supplies and equipment. Shower – very powerful. Bed & sofa – both firm and very comfortable. Lots of lighting options and plenty of wardrobe space. Quiet neighbourhood – felt very safe at night and the apartment is also alarmed for added security. Very convenient location for the main tourist sites; we walked almost everywhere. There is a small supermarket very close by for basics and a much larger one within walking distance. Loved the sunny balconies in the morning + fresh oranges from the tree. We would definitely stay here again – the ultimate in Greek hospitality!
The most beautiful apartment we have ever booked online. The apartment is fully renovated. The decoration is very elegant and minimalistic. What we really liked was the coziness, some days we preferred to stay in (imagine!). The apartment has a very calm and positive aura. Moreover it is very close to the train station and approximately five minutes from the Acropolis museum. The neighbourhood is safe and close to nice bars, the grocery store is located next to the apartment which is very convenient. What I enjoyed the most visiting Athens was the friendliness of John, he came and picked us from the airport (we stayed for almost 3 weeks) also John suggested us the best restaurants and bars in Athens which were amazing. Generally our accommodation was fascinating and we will always remember John’s kindness. We totally recommend this apartment for everyone.
My stay here was fantastic! From the very first moment Ioannis was more than helpful. Very attentive and very hospitable. The flat is brand new and is spotlessly cleaned. There are all the amenities that one can think of from state of the art kitchen appliances to TV and wall mounted sound system. Every single item in the house is brand new: sheets, towels, furniture, appliances.
Athens is the capital and largest city of Greece. Athens dominates the Attica region and is one of the world’s oldest cities, with its recorded history spanning around 3,400 years, and the earliest human presence started somewhere between the 11th and 7th millennium BC. Classical Athens was a powerful city-state that emerged in conjunction with the seagoing development of the port of Piraeus.
A centre for the arts, learning and philosophy, home of Plato’s Academy and Aristotle’s Lyceum, it is widely referred to as the cradle of Western civilization and the birthplace of democracy, largely because of its cultural and political impact on the European continent and in particular the Romans.
A truly pristine and luxurious apartment, located in walking distance from all major sights of Athens, such as the Parthenon, the Acropolis Museum, Filopappou Hill, and the Herodes Atticus. 2 minute walk from the closest Metro Station.
